  2. My Very, Sad, Last Post

    June 10, 2016 by evelynyvonnetheriault

giphyWell 6th grade is ending which means that blogs are being abandoned. Well not exactly but mine is being ended. Maybe I’ll start a new one. But anyways, Its been a whole year of blogging and there was a lot of activities doing this process. Like the Student Blogging Challenge and some of my post were creative posts. But lets get a little bit more serious. Through the whole year, I have improved some skills and I wanted to share them with you.

At the very beginning, I wasn’t as good with computers. By that I mean typing and such. But as they posts got longer, the typing got faster. I was then able to write in post in about 5 minutes. Another thing that changed with computers was that I learned to have no copyright in my blog whatsoever. Before, I would just go on Google and find a picture saying: That was easy! But since we have to have no copyright, things got a little more complicated. One of the ways to go get non-copyrighted pictures was to go on some sites made for that. Another thing I learned was to add widgets on blog. My sister and I even found a widget that is the Harry potter one. I learned how to comment better by leaving quality comments and also leaving my url. (more…)

  3. Are Board Games Boring?

    May 5, 2016 by evelynyvonnetheriault

life_2014_logoHaving fun with your family playing video games is pretty awesome, but what about your parent’s/ grandparent’s video games? We know that they didn’t have that technology, so what did they have?

Well, well, well! Welcome to 2016! Where video games are so popular, they’re everywhere! Board games? Why do you ask? Of course I played, I have a tone! From Monopoly, to Clue, to The Game Of Life! Are they old? No they’re brand new! Oh I get what you mean! Here are some of my favorite:

The Game Of Life- The title says it all! It was actually created in 1860 by Mildon Bradley. But what amazed me is that it was called The Checkered Game Of Life. So it was a little like a checker game! The ‘’new’’ version as originally available a century later, in 1960! I remember seeing my mom’s old game just like that, it was so cool and old! (more…)

  4. Does Success Get You To The Top?

    May 1, 2016 by evelynyvonnetheriault

success‘’If you can dream it, you can do it’’. This famous quote is made by Walter Disney. A great man of SUCCESS! But what really is success? Does it do anything? Well for me, it means either leaving your comfort zone (trying new things) or to keep going higher and higher all the time. But not only does it mean two things to me, it means a lot! Let’s say this: having r thinking you are perfect is ok, but do you succeed well? Do you think this means something to the society? I feel like a person who succeeds is a good leader or a person who accomplishes something. Not only does success mean studying hard, but to believe you’re able. Some people let go because it’s so hard, but is it? I believe that fear is the barrier! (more…)

  5. Quebec Once Again!

    April 21, 2016 by evelynyvonnetheriault

sur_le_poucebenoitalaplageQuebec is where proud Canadians stand! Well, at  least where I stand.. Anyways today, I’ll be talking about a Quebec TV show named: ”Sur Le Pouce”! This is about a very funny man named Benoit Roberge who travels Quebec trying to find the best, of the best restaurants. He is hilarious and always finds something to comment on. Another one of his shows is called: Benoit a la plage. This also talks about Quebec BUT, it also talks about where you can go to relax! He usually does something funny or when he eats something, his reaction is kind of like: it’s and explosion in my mouth! I hope you guys will watch it one time or another and live the food way! 6. The Planet Is Crumbling

    April 19, 2016 by evelynyvonnetheriault

duckNature is what we live on, especially food. Some people think that our whole world is just garbage. Instead of walking up to a garbage, they think throwing it on the floor is o.k. But it’s not. The problem is not only for us, but for the animals. Rivers and oceans. Bring like a big pile of junk. More animals are getting hurt because of digesting cans and getting hurt by glass bottles. Just to see how much people don’t care about nature is sad for me, and others too. Junk is our enemy but for others, it’s friends.

What do you think about pollution and people doing it purpose? What do you really think about loosing your favorite animals because of this? I think its really bad. Or even EXTREMELY bad! Companies are cutting down trees because they want bigger land and making roads and pathways. The worst thing is, is that they’re killing natural habitats of animals. (more…)

  8. Starlight, Star Light, Star’s Light

    April 14, 2016 by evelynyvonnetheriault

As I felt Starlight’s hair brushing in my face, the sun kept going down. We had reached a rusty railroad suddenly, Starlight stopped. She looked at me, I looked at her and she started to gallop as fast as a shooting star! Faster than a jaguar. Faster than anything. She was MY horse and mine only. The first time we met, it was in a forest. I had spotted her in the wild at night. Alone, shivering in the cold North breeze. It’s like if the gods were pairing us forever!

Starlight ran for a couple of miles, then we decided to take a look at all the stars. Glistening in the night, I saw my mom and my dad in the sky. Starring at them for hours, never letting go of them but they slowly began to fade. At one point, they were gone. (more…)
